It's All Up From Here

Posted by mindyluwho in

I had 4 nightmares last night. I'd wake up from one and fall back asleep right into another one.

This morning I stepped on the scale and it was up 4 pounds from yesterday. Could it be one pound for each nightmare? Or it could possibly have been the donuts from the ward party, or perhaps the cheesecake from yesterday that my chef husband made for me just because he loved me. Or more probably that monthly thingie that started yesterday.

This morning for breakfast I had a piece of toasted homemade bread, spread with butter and apricot jam, a glass of orange juice, and a small glass of eggnog. So I announced to my two older girls that I had had my grain, fruit and protien, after which my middle daughter chimes in "and your fat!" She was, of course, referring to the contents of the eggnog, but the look on her face was priceless when she realized what it sounded like! We laughed ourselves silly for a good 4 minutes!

At first I thought she said it the way it sounded...too funny!
Those donuts sound delicious! I bet your husband was pleasantly surprised to have a homemade treat at the activity.

Wow! Your husband bakes cheesecake? I'm afraid of what would happen to me...!

"It's that time of year, when the world" gains some weight.

I went up 10 lbs last holidays. My goal this year is to maintain. Oi, I'm scared!

There is no way I'd be able to pass up homemade donuts!!!

Do you think the world actually gets heavier? Al might want to know about that;)

I gained a few pounds just reading your post, well and watching Paula Deen, oh and eating yummy stuff *sigh*

Homemade bread like your Mothers? I'm booking a flight.

You're brave enough to step on a scale? Not me. I track my weight according to my doctor visits. I gained 4 pounds last month. Ugh.

Cheesecake? I'd be a goner. I guess that's a good reason to be glad my husband doesn't cook for me. Did you know laughing burns a lot of calories? And, I'd just BET that those 4 pounds are from that time of month. I just went through that myself, but it happens at the middle AND some at the end of my cycle.

I read this post last night, but I didn't get to comment because my computer desk broke and we have a chair with my sewing machine case sideways holding up the desk so the monitor doesn't slip off. I figured how to shift it so I can sit on the floor and type!
